Dark green leaves with dark magenta flowers in May-July.Height 40-60cm.
 
Brilliant magenta-purple blooms stand out against the rich green, deeply lobed foliage. Blooms continuously from late spring through summer. The foliage turns crimson red in the fall. An excellent choice for adding vibrant color to rock and alpine gardens, patio containers, and mixed borders. An herbaceous perennial.

WATER: Keep soil moist, but not soggy.
SIZE: Moderate growing; reaches 12 in. tall, 18 in. wide.
