What Happens At A Consultation?
A consultation with Consciously Grown is not a sales pitch. It's a genuine conversation between people who love gardens.

We visit your property at a time that suits you. We listen. We observe. We ask questions about how you use the space, what you love about it, what frustrates you, and what you'd like it to become.

After the consultation we put together a tailored proposal — covering the programme of care, the frequency of visits, and what we think your garden could achieve with the right long-term attention.

There is no obligation. No pressure. Just an honest assessment of your garden and what we believe we could do for it.
We provide consultations and garden care across a carefully chosen territory in Kent, East Sussex and the Surrey borders.
Kent: Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone, Kings Hill, West Malling, Paddock Wood, Cranbrook, Goudhurst, Edenbridge, Penshurst, Wadhurst, Lamberhurst, Benenden, Longfield, Eynsford, Borough Green, Wrotham, Hildenborough, Hadlow, Bearsted, Aylesford, Horsmonden, Brenchley, Matfield, Sissinghurst, Orpington, Chislehurst, Petts Wood

Frequently Asked Questions
love your garden this summer
Q: Is the consultation really free?
Yes — completely. There is no charge for the initial consultation and no obligation to proceed. We believe the right relationship starts with a genuine conversation, not a transaction. If after the consultation you'd like to work with us, we'll send you a tailored proposal. If not, we hope you'll at least leave with some useful thoughts about your garden.
Q: How long does a consultation take?
Most consultations take between 15 minutes and half an hour, depending on the size of your garden and how much we have to discuss. For larger estates or properties with multiple garden areas, we may schedule a longer initial visit.
Q: Do I need to prepare anything?
No preparation is needed. Just be there and walk the garden with us. If you have any photos, plans or notes about your garden that you'd like to share, bring them along — but there's absolutely no requirement to do so.
Q: What areas do you cover for consultations?
We cover Kent, East Sussex and the Surrey borders — including Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone, Kings Hill, Wadhurst, Cranbrook, Edenbridge, Crowborough, Oxted, Longfield, Orpington and many more towns and villages. Check out our areas we cover page. If you're unsure whether we cover your area, please get in touch.
Q: What happens after the consultation?
After visiting your garden we put together a tailored proposal covering the services we'd recommend, the frequency of visits, and what we believe your garden could achieve with the right long-term care. We send this to you within a few days of the consultation. There's no obligation to proceed and no pressure to decide quickly.
Q: Can I book a consultation just for a planting plan?
Yes absolutely. Bespoke planting plans begin with a site visit and consultation - we come to your garden, spend time understanding the space, your soil and your vision, and then create a tailored plan. You can book a consultation specifically for a planting plan through the booking system above.
Q: Can I book a consultation for tree surgery?
Yes — our NPTC-qualified arborists offer complimentary initial consultations for tree surgery across Kent, East Sussex and the Surrey borders. We'll assess your trees, discuss the work required and provide a clear recommendation and quotation.
Q: Do you offer consultations in the Surrey borders?
Yes — we now cover Oxted, Limpsfield, Tandridge, Godstone, Lingfield and Westerham in the Surrey borders. Book a consultation using the system above or call us directly on 07476 740021.
Q: What's the difference between a consultation and a quote?
A consultation is a genuine conversation about your garden — what it needs, what it could become, and how we can help. A quote follows from the consultation once we understand your requirements.
Q: Can I book a garden maintenance visit without a quote first?
Absolutely yes, we just need a few more details, some photos of the space and a conversation over email so please drop us a message using our contact us form or go ahead and book online for a one-off visit.
Q: Can I book online for a one-off garden maintenance visit?
Yes check out our easy to book one-off visits service on our bookings page.
