Maximising the Health and Productivity of Your Garden Organically

Preparing Your Soil for Success

The foundation of a flourishing garden begins with the soil. Optimal soil health is essential for vibrant plant growth. To boost your soil quality organically, consider:

  • Composting: Create nutrient-rich compost using kitchen scraps, yard waste, and organic matter. This natural fertiliser enriches the soil and promotes beneficial microbial activity.

Here in Wadhurst we have just revamped the compst area to ensure its easy to use and productive, we added an extra bay to enable even better production, we freshened up the paths and turned the compost heaps.

  • Mulching: Mulch helps in retaining moisture, suppressing weeds, and improving soil structure. Choose organic materials like straw, leaves, or grass clippings for an eco-friendly approach.
